The team at Fallen Earth are trying something a bit different to promote their post-apocalyptic MMORPG this year. They're actually taking the game on a national tour across key cities in the US to get the word out and let potential gamers get a better look at what their game has to offer.
This tour kicked off at the Triangle International Game Developers Association (IGDA) meeting at Ess Lounge in Raleigh, NC on February 19th. The tour will continue to hit cities such as Baltimore, San Francisco and Houston throughout the spring and summer months. "IGDA is a very important organization in the gaming community, and it was actually great to hear and answer questions that our fans had about the game," said Lee Hammock, head game designer for Fallen Earth. "Player feedback is a critical component to closed beta testing, and we hope fans across the U.S. can join us at our future events." MMORPG : One Shots: Fires in the skyFeb 26, 2009 02:00:00 PM News Item: 8891
Filed under: Fantasy, Screenshots, Warhammer Online, One Shots
It seems like no matter how long we spend in our favorite games, once in a while you can spot something you never actually noticed before. One such experience came in in recent times from a Warhammer Online gamer, Johnfordeath, of the guild Rangers of the Myst from the Volkmar server. John writes in: Saw this nifty spectacle during a raid on the Stoneclaw keep in Talabecland. It was, in my honest opinion, a shooting star. It shot across the sky, albeit slowly, it was pretty neat to see. At first I thought that perhaps it was the sun, with some sort of weird sunray effect going on, but I started to notice it was falling towards the horizon rather quickly. Was cool to see while raiding the keep.
If you've caught sight of something you never noticed before, from the smallest detail to a enormous new raiding area you hadn't experienced until now, we want to see your screenshots! Bundle them up into an email along with your name/guild/server/etc. and a quick description and send them to us at oneshots AT massively DOT com. We'll post them out here and share your experience for all our readers to see. Yours could be next! %Gallery-9798%
