First classes
- Mercenary - Mercenaries mAY use swords, axes and a shield. A Mercenary's weapons are more refined and stronger then their counterparts. They can spread nets to freeze their foe and fire shockwaves at opponents from at close range. They can become either a Knight or Blade when they reach level 60. Their primary stats are STR and DEX for damage output and attack speed.
- Magician - FlyFF Magicians are magic-users who may also melee attack using either a Wand or s two-handed Staffs. Magician abilities include fire, water, earth, wind, lightning and they may also teleport a short distance. They may advance to an Elementor or Psykeeper at level 60. A Magician's primary stat is INT.
- Assist - Assists are mainly healers and they also have an assortment of buff skills. They are the perfect support character. They use Knuckles for melee combat making them self sufficient. Assist abilities include healing, hammering the ground to damage surrounding foes, raising stats temporarily of players, and resurrecting dead players. At level 60, Assists can become Ringmasters or Billposters. Assist's primary starts are STR for knuckle damage and INT for healing and buffs.
- Acrobat - Acrobats are ranged attackers specializing in the use of bows and Yo-yos have a shorter range than bows but is more accurate. Both weapon types are two-handed so they may not use a shield when these weapons are equipped. Acrobat abilities barrage firing, shooting accuracy, stunning, bleed, counter attack, stealing, running and invisibility. Acrobats can become Jesters or Rangers at level 60. Their primary stats are STR and DEX
Second classes
- Blade - Blades focus on attack speed and power over defense giving them high damage-per-second ratios. They dispatch their opponent very quickly. Blade's are able to dual wield, either two swords or two axes, at the expense of some attack speed. They may also use one sword and one axe or a weapon and a shield, however they will not be able to use Mercenary self-buffs if they do. A Blades primary stats are DEX and STR for speed and power.
- Knight
- Knights focus on defense over speed but have the ability to wield the most powerful, albeit slowest weapons in the game, as well as the most protective armors. They may use a single handed weapon with or without a shield, but will be unable to use any Knight-specific skills. A Knights primary STA and STR for defense and damage.
- Psykeeper - Psykeepers are the masters of hexes. When wielding a wand, Psykeepers float in the air and glide accross the ground instead of walking. Psykeepers have access to the forbidden arts that can damage monsters from the inside, synchronize their own minds with their antagonists to share the pain from attacks, or create barriers to ward off oncoming attackers. Their spells are non-elemental and must be cast using a wand.
- Elementor - Elementors have the ability to manipulate the elements. They posess an arsanal of area effect spells such as poisonous clouds, sandstorms and summon massive meteors from deep space. All Elementor skills require an equipped staff in order to use them. They also have buff abilities to increase elemental damage. Due to their mastery of the elements, Elementors can use tactics such as using the appropriate element that a combatant is weak against which can deal extraordinary amounts of damage.
- Billposter - Billposters are the offensive second class of the Assist which focuses on offensive skills rather than defensive and healing. While requiring a stick to utilize their retained Assist abilities to heal and buff, Billposter skills utilize Knuckles to execute. These abilities include Asmodeus to raise attack power and Asalraalaikum attack which consumes all of the caster's MP, dealing considerable damage proportionate to the amount of MP consumed but is considered to be the strongest attack in Flyff. Like most melee characters they are at the mercy of long range attackers.
- Ringmaster - Ringmasters are the supportive second class of the Assist and commonly have the most powerful buffs in the game. Ringmasters use Sticks to buff and heal. A Ringmaster's abilities include Spirit Fortune to raise the attack power of allies and Geburah Tiphreth to raise the fighting capabilities of allied players. They are also capable of debuffing enemies by using a skill called HolyCross, which causes double the received damage inflicted on the target upon the next successful hit. Ringmasters are easy to level up provided they have a partner to work with.
- Jester - Jesters possess an arsenal of attacks. They are masters of trickery and are literally bloodthirsty fighters. They receive four times as much Critical Hit Rate from the Dexterity stat than any other class. There are two types of Jesters: Yo-yo Jesters can use skills of dark magic to drain blood in order to replenish their own health, inject poison into foes, launch coins to dent enemy armor, and impair their victims by attacking vital organs. They are the only class after a Billposter to have the second strongest attack in the game, Hit of Penya, however it consumes a certain amount of penya when used. Bow Jesters are all mainly pure DEX. They rely on their bow and the power of Critical Hits to deal impressive amounts of damage, which makes up for their lack of HP and inability to use a Jester's skills.
- Ranger - Rangers use bows to inflict damage as well as to render enemy strategies useless. They utilize the powers of nature with their attacks, such as creating Flame Arrows to singe flesh and Poison Arrows to inject toxic acids into foes. Silent Arrow is among the Ranger's most deadly skills and the greatest against magic user player characters, as it renders all skills requiring MP useless, silencing the opponent.
